What do u think the Islamic religion is?
Founder:
The Islamic religion was founded by the Prophet Muhammad in the 7th century. Muhammad was born in the month of Rabi' al-awwal in 570. Muhammad was supposed to die six months after he was born. When Muhammad mom died he stayed with his grand mother she also died from an illness so he became an orphan. When Muhammad moved to his uncle's he went to go meet with a christian monk and was told his future. The monk told Muhammad that his future was that he was going to be prophet of God. In his later life Muhammad lived up to what he was told and later wrote the Qu'ran.

Followers:
One in five people believe the Islamic religion in the middle area of Asia and Europe.

Holy Books:
One of Islams most important books is the Qu'ran. The Qu'ran is like the word of God. The Qu'ran is is said to be the literal word of God to Muhammad. This book has the Islamic laws and tells about the Islamic Theology. Another sacred book of Islam is the Hadith, the Hadith is the tradition of the prophet. This book records the deeds of the prophet, his family and friends. The Hadith is the most important book for the doctors, lawyers, and the practice of the Islamic religion.

Religious Holidays:
The Islamic calendar is the celebration of the calendar. Their calendar is a lunar calendar containing 354 days in a year. One of Islams most important holidays is Ramadan. Ramadan is the 9th the month of fasting. All Muslims must participate in this holiday they must not eat, drink, or smoke from dusk to sunset. During Ramadan muslims ask for forgiveness for their sins, and pray for guidance away from evil. They also ask for purity to self- restraint for good deeds. The practice of Ramadan is int the first verse of the Qu'ran.

Rituals/Customs:
The 5 pillars of Islam is a ritual normally practiced in Islam. They must follow 5 religious duties expected of every Muslim including fasting during the Ramadan (Saum) profession of faith (Shahada), prayers (Salah), praying to the alms (Zakah), and pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj).

Dressing:
The dressings of Muslims depends on the religion or cultures.

Hierarchy:
They pray to their gods by going to their church or temple and kneel and talk or pray to their gods.
